Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of TakeoffBuilder (“the Platform”) operated by TakeoffBuilder LLC. By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

TakeoffBuilder provides AI-assisted construction material takeoff services. You upload construction plan PDFs, our system processes them using AI, and delivers material quantity counts for your review. The Platform is intended to assist human estimators — it is not a substitute for professional judgment.

2. Account Registration

You must sign in with a valid Google account to use paid features. Creating a free account gives you access to a live example plan set and AI-generated takeoff output. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Sharing account credentials is prohibited.

3. Credits and Payment

Free Account. Sign up with Google to see a real example plan alongside the AI-generated takeoff from it at no cost. No credit card required required.

Paid Credits. Credits are purchased in packs and deducted per takeoff. Credits never expire. All purchases are final — credits are non-refundable once used. Unused credits may be refunded within 30 days of purchase if you have not used any from that pack, subject to a 10% processing fee.

Pricing. Current pricing is displayed on the Pricing page. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice to active users.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in connection with legitimate construction estimating work. You may not:

  • Upload plans you do not have authorization to process
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the AI system
  • Share your account with unauthorized users
  • Use the Platform to process plans for competitors of TakeoffBuilder
  • Attempt to circumvent the credit system

5. Intellectual Property

TakeoffBuilder retains all rights to the Platform, AI system, and related technology. Your uploaded plan files and takeoff results belong to you. By uploading plans, you grant us a limited license to process them for the purpose of delivering your takeoff results.

6. Accuracy and Professional Responsibility

TakeoffBuilder provides AI-assisted counts intended to support — not replace — professional estimating judgment. Results must be reviewed by a qualified estimator before use in bids or construction decisions. We make no warranty that results are complete or error-free. You are responsible for verifying all counts before use.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TakeoffBuilder LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to bidding errors, underbids, or project losses resulting from inaccurate takeoff counts. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for credits in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI counts will meet any specific accuracy threshold on any given plan set.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time by emailing support@aitakeoffbuilder.com. Unused credits will be refunded on a prorated basis upon account closure.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Maricopa County, Arizona.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated with 30 days’ notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
