Account Information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google’s OAuth service. We store this to create and manage your account.

Plan Files. When you upload construction plan PDFs, we store them temporarily to process your takeoff. Files are used solely to generate your material counts and are not shared with third parties.

Usage Data. We collect standard server logs including pages visited, features used, and takeoff history. This helps us improve the platform and troubleshoot issues.

Payment Information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details. We retain transaction records (amount, date, credits purchased) for billing purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To deliver your takeoff results and maintain your account
  • To process payments and manage your credit balance
  • To send transactional emails (takeoff complete notifications, receipts)
  • To improve AI accuracy and platform performance
  • To respond to support requests

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your plan files, takeoff results, or personal information with third parties except:

  • Stripe — for payment processing
  • Google — for authentication via OAuth
  • Service providers — infrastructure and hosting providers bound by confidentiality agreements
  • Legal requirements — when required by law or to protect our rights

4. Data Retention

Plan files are retained for 90 days after your last activity on a project, then deleted. Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@aitakeoffbuilder.com.

5. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication via Google OAuth, and access controls on all stored data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your information.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@aitakeoffbuilder.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies to maintain your login state. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Google OAuth may set cookies as part of the authentication process.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
